Melody Hoover, Senior Paralegal

Melody Hoover Melody was born and raised in South Baltimore where her backyard was the historical scene of the War of 1812, Fort McHenry. She has aspired to be an attorney since she was 8 years old and dreamt of walking the halls of Harvard Law and then becoming the first female appointed to SCOTUS. Unbeknownst to Melody, Sandra Day O’Connor, who would later become a legal icon to Melody, had already been appointed.

Melody met Attorney Christi McCullars in 2017, first becoming friends, then forming an attorney-client relationship when Melody’s father’s health was failing and in need of estate planning. Then a year later (to present) the two became an Attorney and Paralegal team. Christi became Melody’s mentor and influenced her decision to pursue a legal career in elder law, along with Melody’s love for the senior community, desire to advocate for the voiceless, and a means to pay tribute to her late parents. Probate, guardianship, and estate planning allow her this opportunity.

Melody holds three associates degrees from Seminole State College. Administrative Office Management, Legal Assistant/Paralegal, and General Education; earned magna cum laude, summa cum laude, and magna cum laude, respectively. Melody is currently a full-time honor student at the University of Central Florida graduating December 2022, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Conflict and Communication. Melody plans to attend law school fall 2023.

Melody also holds a variety of professional certifications, including Legal Technology, Business Specialist, Office Management, and Office Specialist.

Melody and her husband have been married for 26 years and are parents of two adult human children, three felines – Penelope, Paisley, and Periwinkle, and a very special Yorkie – Ripken. Ripken’s namesake is Cal Ripken, Jr. of the Baltimore Orioles, a way to pay homage to her hometown of Baltimore and time spent watching the O’s with family and friends.

Often compared to Leslie Knope, Melody is the most passionate person you will ever meet. She is passionate about loving others well, treating every person she meets with dignity, and ensuring each person’s plight is heard. The legal field has given Melody the platform to fulfill these passions.

Melody can be reached directly at 407-541-0774.
